Tawada Limited was incorporated in September 1987 specifically to produce high quality security inks for the printing of Nigerian bank notes and other value document inks.

It is a joint venture company between Nigerian Security printing and Minting Plc and SICPA S.A of Lausanne, Switzerland. As indicated above, the company is owned by NSPM Plc and SICPA. S.A.The shareholding structure therefore is as follows: NSPM Plc = 60% SICPA S.A =40%
The day to day affairs of the company are managed by a top management team comprising of the General Manager, who is also the Chief Executive Officer and three (3) heads of department, while a five member board of Directors three (3) from NSPM Plc, and two (2) from SICPA S.A are responsible for the overall strategic policy decision making.
The company is located at No. 140 Samuel L. Akintola Boulevard Garki 2, Abuja.
